The newly developed NEMA34 steppermotor bracket 86 mm is a strong bracket milled from aluminum.
Communication with the PC will take place via the Ethernet interface.
The LAN connection is less prone to failure because it is symmetrical and completely galvanically separated. The cable length can be any.
Pins two to nine can be used either as outputs or inputs. The following configurations are therefore possible when using all three ports:
- 36 outputs and 15 inputs
- 20 outputs and 31 inputs
- 28 outputs and 23 inputs
The ESS has a network connection with the computer and receives commands from the Mach3 CNC path control. These commands are converted by the ESS microprocessor into step impulses for up to 6 machine axes and output via up to three three parallel interfaces with a maximum step frequency of 4 MHz. The CPU of the controlling computer is thus relieved of the generation of the step impulses. This makes it possible to use relatively weak PCs or laptops to control a CNC machine. Practically all laptops on the market today no longer have a parallel interface (printer connection), a problem that is solved with the use of the ESS.
